Art of fathering celebrated

The art of fathering takes centre stage in Waitakere for the fourth annual Fathering Week. Coordinated by Violence Free Waitakere and Waitakere City Council, the event runs 30 August to 5 September and features a range of fun and informative activities to champion the role fathering has in the community.

The week kicks off with the Fathering Week launch on Monday, hosted by Waitakere City Council. This includes the official launch of the video "In Your Hands" and a talk by Dave Owens. Man Alive also talk about their "New Fathers Course" and Ron Hepworth and Junior Tavai talk about "Teen Dads" and give highlights from their new DVD...more
